Job description

The Talent Set are excited to be partnering with Parkinson’s UK in the recruitment of their new Statutory Fundraising Manager, based in their London office (Victoria) 2 days per week. The salary for this role is £47,680 per annum. 

This role will lead on the coordination of all Statutory Fundraising activity, identifying and developing compelling project and service propositions to secure support for a diverse range of programmes.  
Working collaboratively with team members and senior colleagues across the charity, the successful candidate will build strong and lasting relationships with statutory and lottery funders to provide funding for vital and innovative areas of the charity’s work.


Key duties include:

  • Lead the team’s implementation of the agreed Statutory Fundraising strategy, coordinating opportunities, team resources and projects.
  • Develop the potential of Statutory Fundraising across the charity by improving systems and driving change with senior colleagues.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with funders including National Lottery Community Fund, Sport England and government departments, proactively seeking meetings with new contacts.
  • Create compelling proposals and reports for major statutory funders in England and Northern Ireland.
  • Seek and identify new funding opportunities to support statutory growth, working collaboratively with programme teams and finance to build bespoke funding budgets and monitoring systems.
  • Line-manage a Trusts Officer and Senior Officer, supporting and guiding them in achievement of their fundraising targets.
  • Contribute to the team’s overall trusts and statutory target by excellent team-work and cultivation including attending funder/donor events.

We’re looking for someone with the following skills & experience:

  • Proven experience of leading successful six-figure fundraising from statutory grants and comparable major trusts.
  • Ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external people including senior decision-makers, influencing them to support new projects through written proposals, meetings, site visits and calls.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the technical requirements of and current UK environment for trusts and Statutory Fundraising, in particular lottery distributors, central and devolved governments.
  • Proven leadership skills to successfully manage and motivate project teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Coaching and developing skills of team members, including support and oversight through effective line management.
