About the role

Join us as Trusts & Foundations Manager and play a leading role in securing new income from trusts, foundations and other statutory and institutional funders, helping us to deliver on our mission to use the power of law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for – and with – its inhabitants.
You will work across ClientEarth’s programme areas and geographies to cultivate new funder relationships, develop winning proposals, and ensure a growing and diverse funder base for ClientEarth.
You will be the primary point of contact and key relationship manager for new donors. You will also have line management responsibility, overseeing the work and professional development of a Senior Trusts & Foundations Officer
Meet your Manager
In this role, you will be managed by Nick Winnett. Nick leads ClientEarth's Business Development team, responsible for growing new relationships with Trusts and Foundations globally and securing new income. Nick has worked in non-profit fundraising for more than 12 years, including experience working with organisations focusing on climate change, biodiversity protection, natural resource governance, anti-corruption and human rights. He has been with ClientEarth for 15 months and is based in our London office.

Role requirements
- Experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity
- Experience of drafting proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year, six and seven-figure grants
- Experience leading the development and activity of proposal development teams
- Experience of successfully managing the relationship development process with a new donor
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and analyse budgets and financial information
