About Greenpeace

Since our founding in 1971, Greenpeace has been at the forefront of environmental activism, challenging governments and corporations to enact real change. We investigate, document, and expose the causes of environmental destruction while advocating for peaceful solutions and direct action.

Your Role

As a Global Fundraising Officer, you'll play a crucial role in our Key Relationships team, working towards our goal of raising £6 million in major gifts in 2024. You'll focus on securing funding from trusts and foundations to support environmental campaigns in Global Majority countries, as well as contributing to our new capital campaign, 'Hope for the Future', aimed at raising €100 million to drive global change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asking for Gifts: Make compelling asks for support, balancing the demand for gifts to our global capital campaign and project-specific initiatives.
  • Thanking and Stewardship: Create personalised acknowledgment and stewardship plans for funders, ensuring reporting requirements are met.
  • Prospecting and Research: Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to strategy discussions to increase overall income from major gifts.

What We Look For

  • Passion and Dedication: We seek individuals who are passionate about our campaigns and dedicated to making a difference.
  • Non-Violent Direct Action: While NVDA training is provided, a commitment to peaceful protest and social change is essential.
  • Collaborative Mindset: We value teamwork and collaboration, working together to achieve our goals.
