Turnaround Train Cleaner

Day Shift Role

Based in Bradford

6-month initial contract with the opportunity to join on a permanent basis.

We are working with one of the largest UK Train Operating Companies (currently operating 464 stations, the most of any TOC in the UK), who are seeking to recruit a Turnaround Train Cleaner to join the train cleaning team based in Bradford Interchange Station.

They are looking for someone with a 'go getter' attitude who isn't afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.

The Role:

The role is working as a Turnaround Train Cleaner, which means you will be getting on the trains as they wait at the station and do walk through cleans, as well as staying on the train as it travels carrying out cleaning. You will then get off at another stop and go to work on another train. You will carry out the following duties:

* Sanitizing touch points
* Dealing with all litter on the train
* Cleaning, tidying & restocking the toilets

Hours wise, it is an 08:00am - 18:00pm day shift role, and has a Sunday - Saturday rota in place, which rotates on a 2-week basis:

* Week 1 - Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
* Week 2 - Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday

The Company:

The company covers the whole of the North, which includes the Northeast & West of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, as well as the occasional part of the East Midlands and Staffordshire.

As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains - 333 to be precise, so it's safe to say you will be active & busy with your role!

Remuneration & Benefits:

This rail company has on offer the following for contract staff:

* �11.13p/h
* Overtime is available at the Manager's discretion

Requirements:

* Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
* Be able to pass a Medical test - includes all senses & physical fitness
* Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
* Happy to help mentality/attitude
* Flexibility to work weekends

Training & Start Date:

You will have to complete 9 days of training at Neville Hill Depot in Leeds, which will take place from 9am - 4pm. This will be paid and it will commence on the 5 th February.
