Do you have a skill, a passion, an area of expertise, and would you be interested in sharing your knowledge with a wider audience? If so, Norfolk County Council Adult learning would love to hear from you.

We’re currently looking to recruit Course Tutors and Course Facilitators. Adult Learning provides a broad programme of learning opportunities for the people of Norfolk. Our service supports residents to access lifelong learning and reach their goals. And that’s where you come in.

We currently have positions available across multiple subjects. These agile and exciting roles mean that no two days are the same as you could be teaching from multiple venues across Norfolk in any given week, for example:

  • Great Yarmouth – Functional Skills, Mental Health and Well Being, Counselling, Yoga/Fitness, Family Learning, English, Employability Skills, Business Management, Arts & Crafts, Botanical Art, Flower Arrangement, Textiles, Mathematics, Digital Skills
  • Norwich – Counselling, Yoga/Fitness, English, Employability Skills, Business Management, French, Spanish, Jewellery, Cookery, Arts & Crafts, Botanical Art, Flower Arrangement, Textiles, Mathematics, Digital Skills
  • Diss and South Norfolk – Mental Health and Well Being, Counselling, Yoga/Fitness, ESOL, English, Employability Skills, Business Management, Arts & Crafts, Botanical Art, Flower Arrangement, Textiles, Mathematics, Digital Skills
  • Kings Lynn – Mental Health and Well Being, Counselling, Yoga/Fitness, ESOL, Family Learning, English, Employability Skills, Business Management, Arts & Crafts, Botanical Art, Flower Arrangement, Textiles, Mathematics, Digital Skills
  • Cromer and North Norfolk – Mental Health and Well Being, Counselling, Yoga/Fitness, Employability Skills, Business Management, Arts & Crafts, Botanical Art, Flower Arrangement, Textiles, Mathematics, Digital Skills

Ideally, you’ll have experience of teaching, but we’re equally happy to hear from people who have exceptional skills sets and knowledge, but don’t have teaching experience as our teacher development programme will enable you to gain these qualifications on the job with us. If you have the desire to teach, we want to hear from you, and we can establish which role might suit you best once we’ve spoken to you.

These roles would be perfect for someone who is keen to pass on their expertise to a wider audience, and to be a real advocate for their chosen area of expertise. You’ll be able to work flexibly in a supportive environment and will be able to make a real difference to the people of Norfolk by providing engaging learning opportunities. When applying, please specify which subject area you are interested in.

This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
