Twist Operative

We are looking to hire a Factory Operative to work across our Twist department and Packing department.

Fore most, in the Twist department you will learn to manufacturer our world renowned product. Our Product has been produced in a similar fashion for over 200 years and we are looking for someone keen to learn the old traditional way of making this iconic product.

This role would suit an applicant who is practical, has excellent hand to eye coordination, has patience and attention to detail.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A JOB THAT MOSTLY INVOLVES SITTING DOWN AND DELICATE HAND TO EYE CO-ORDINATION, WORKING IN A SMALL TEAM IN PAIRS.

IT IS NOT GENERAL FACTORY PRODUCTION ON THE MAIN FACTORY FLOOR.

The candidate should consider that some aspects of the process can sometimes be physical (but not excessively) and the role is very hands-on.

The candidate will also be called upon to work in other departments as necessary for the functioning of the business, most likely in the packing department.

The successful candidate will be a vital part of the production team, producing and packing and labelling products for shipments to the UK and worldwide markets. Our products are handmade and currently packed by hand. You will be part of a small team, with targeted tasks being planned for each day of the week.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Producing the Product

Packing/labelling/sealing & manual handling of products.

Assisting with other departments as required.

Ensuring that the production area you are working within is kept tidy.

In process quality checks as required.

Assist with the implementation of new systems & processes as required

You may also be required to undertake other tasks in addition to those listed above.

Requirements:

Excellent hand co-ordination

An attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Physical fitness for constant manual work and occasional lifting.

Excellent time keeping and a drive to achieve targets.

Autonomous working

Good communication and team working skills

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, willing to learn this specialised production technique and become an integral part of the production and packing team as our company expands and moves forward.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4.30pm with half hour lunch break (and two 15 min breaks).

Friday: 7.30am to 1.30pm

Salary: £24,000
