To perform tyre replacements, repairs and balancing on all illegal tyres including run flat tyres in a professional manner working within Health Safety guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform tyre replacements, repairs and balancing on motor vehicles including working within Health and Safety guidelines.
- Maintain vehicle job records by recording tyre replacement & repairs on a daily basis.
- Move vehicles within workshops in a safe manner observing company policies as per company handbook and Health and Safety manual.
- Maintaining a good standard of housekeeping and ensure a good standard of workmanship in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Refuelling vehicles in a safe manner in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Correct filling of company job cards and job records on a daily basis.
- Return specialist tools and reference materials to their designated locations reporting any faults found.
- Undertaking any other ad hoc duties as requested by Management and Senior staff

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Valid and full driving license.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate job records and reports.
- Must have own toolkit sufficient to complete duties
- Ability to analyse and replace, repairs & balance tyres.
- Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the motor trade
Desirable
- Understanding of the motor industry and motor vehicle technology.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety, COSHH and Risk Assessments.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions without supervision.
