Description Job Description Overall purpose of job: This role is responsible for providing transport support across all franchises and sectors, with a strong focus on UK, Ireland Distribution organizational infrastructure. The scope of this role is to develop and improve carrier relationships, implement metrics, dashboard and KPI strategies and process improvements. Based on defined business needs, you will be responsible for developing related business requirements, identifying technology systems and business process opportunities. JOB TYPE:
Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Essential duties and responsibilities: Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities • Develop transportation related business requirements based on defined business needs.
• Identify business process harmonization opportunities.
• Validate "current" state for key activities, including Transportation and Distribution.
• Perform benchmarking of transportation processes to identify "best practices" in transportation for existing (internal) and potential (external) global solutions
• Ensure continuous improvements for business processes
• Provide project management support for implementation of cross-sector and cross-regional initiatives.
• Identify & define opportunities, projects & solutions for the cluster
• Provide analytical/ project management support, driving operational and financial improvements such as carrier change, set up on new lanes, shift to different transport modes, improvements of order profile etc....
• Provide ad-hoc analytical reporting & general admin support for the cluster
• Identify export synergies for outbound freight cross-sector
• Lead transport complaint investigations and provide resolution updates to the customer
• Implement HCBI, due diligence and SLAs contracts for compliance for all Tingley carriers.
• If required lead Supplier/internal Audit activities and support operational compliance requirements
• Lead/support supplier review meetings
• Administration management in line with agreed budget and cost efficiency targets. THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IS NOT AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF THE JOB HOLDERS RESPONSIBILITIES Qualifications Special requirements:
Qualification, Experience and Special Aptitudes:

  • A background in transportation/logistics, technology and business processes with at least 2-3 years' experience in this field or solid studies in this area.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and simulations using different tools
  • Successful track record of developing and implementing projects & business solutions
  • Ability to work in a highly complex environment
  • Results driven with the ability to deliver within agreed timelines
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skill set

• Capable of adapting & prioritizing responsibilities to provide flexibility
• Preferable MS level or equivalent in logistics, supply chain or information management
• IT literacy (good with Excel - other databases, such as Access, oracle is a plus)
• Fluent in English, fluency in additional European languages in a plus. Other features of the job:
Internal and External Relationships:
• Supplier relationship management (SRM)- you will be responsible for strategically managing interactions with suppliers to maximise value and achieve business goals. It includes activities like communication, collaboration, risk management, and performance evaluation.
• SLA Management - you will be responsible for metrics like response time, resolution time, and other key performance indicators. This will be managed with supplier in Monthly Business Reviews.
