UK Printer / MFP Support Engineer - Field based
Overview:
The Field Service Technician (printer/copier) is accountable for providing equipment service and repair to A&O IT customers and end clients.
Scope:
The Field Service Technician interfaces both internally within functional service areas as well as external customers providing excellent technical skills and customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform full range of repairs and maintenance on a wide range of printer manufacturers and devices including technical diagnostics, replacement of FRUs, software/firmware updates, installations, removals & retrofits.
- Manage call activity; execute call closure via inhouse ticketing system and other administrative requirements
- Adhere to proper escalation procedures to resolve customer issues
- Responsible for assigned company assets (parts, tools, communication and computing devices, vehicle etc)
- Deliver outstanding service to our clients utilising proven customer facing experience.
- Achieve key productivity goals including an average of 4 calls per day.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Field based printer or photocopier engineer
- Proven experience of fault finding and intrusive repair
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Ability to self-manage with limited supervision
- Strong work ethic and flexibility
- Printer engineering tool kit
- Full UK driving licence (Max 6 points)
Advantageous:
- Vendor and industry certifications
- Current BPSS clearance or equivalent
- Deskside support and PC/Laptop break-fix experience
