Job description

We are currently looking for a UK Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager to join our UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team. The role holder will take a leading role in the development, implementation, management oversight and review of the University’s UK Student Recruitment and outreach activity, ensuring the University innovates in its Student Recruitment and outreach approaches to achieve the University’s drive for growth and diversification in Student Recruitment. The Team The UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team is based within the International Operations and Student Recruitment professional services directorate. The UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team take a leading role in supporting the achievement of the university’s recruitment targets. The work of the team includes the delivery of an annual programme of events targeted at raising awareness of the university, liaison with key schools and colleges that act as feeder institutions to the University and the provision of support and guidance to students in order to promote their transition to University. This includes developing innovative approaches to attract and diversify student enrolment. In addition, the manager will oversee the planning and management of recruitment activities for both undergraduate and postgraduate markets, including building relationships with schools and colleges and other external partners. Collaborating with the Head of Marketing, Head of Admissions, and other colleagues, the manager will ensure a coordinated approach and effective use of resources to achieve the University's goals. Furthermore, the role-holder will manage the work of the UK Student Recruitment and Outreach team and contribute to the overall management of the International Operations and Student Recruitment unit. This involves leading and motivating staff to achieve the University's plans and objectives. Who we are looking for: Direct experience of developing and implementing higher education Student Recruitment activity Understanding of internal and external policy drivers which influence Student Recruitment in Scotland. Experience of budget and people management Experience of successfully managing complex projects and implementing process improvements Experience of events management Capability to lead, motivate and facilitate the work of a large team A valid UK driving license as the post holder will need to travel to locations throughout the UK which would not be possible by public transport or other means.  If you would like to know more about this opportunity, please click here to view the full job description.
