Under Gardener

We are looking for an experienced Under Gardener to join a team of three on this Private Estate near Marlborough.

The garden is an excellent example of a traditional country estate garden and includes formal and informal lawns, shrub and herbaceous borders, hedges, a large walled garden used for the production of fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers. There is a lake, swimming pool, heated greenhouse for the production of plants for the use throughout the year in the main house as well as for extensive propagation of plants used in the gardens.

The successful applicant will assist the Head Gardener in all aspects of the garden. They should ideally have:

• A recognised horticultural qualification. 1-2 years practical, employed, gardening experience. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A sense of humour, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic. A keen interest in plants and horticulture and enthusiastic about working outside.

Competitive salary based on 40 hours per week. Some seasonal weekend work is required.
