SalaryMCS Group are delighted to be working with a growing insurance company in NI who are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their Belfast based team.
Woking as part of the Underwriting team you will be analysing risk in insurance proposals, determining policy terms and calculating premiums. Identifying and writing profitable business in support of the company's overall business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Prepare quotations
- Study and assess commercial motor risks
- Assessing standard and non-standard underwriting information.
- Offering appropriate quotations and acceptance of risks.
- Retention of existing broker base.
- Calculate risk and decide on premiums to charge
- Responding to complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintaining regular contact with trading partners, always acting professionally.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
The person
- Experienced within commercial motor insurance
- Experienced underwriter with good previous exposure
- numeracy and statistical skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft office suites.
