Head of Unit Settlements

Hybrid working 3 days in Bolton and 2 days working from home

My client is looking for an experienced Unit Settlements Manager to head up the Unit Settlements department.

You will be a highly enthusiastic manager who can demonstrate experience of managing a team within the financial services industry.

You will have regulatory knowledge and development skills supporting client assets in particular client money rules and ideally hold the investment operations certificate or willingness to work towards.

Basic salary £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus and excellent benefits

Candidate

• You will possess strong people management skills, highly numerate with strong diligence and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to problem solve and deal with complex queries, prioritise & work to strict deadlines
• Able to work as part of a team, whilst also managing a team
• Experience of conducting quarterly 1-2-1 meeting and annual appraisals, setting objectives which are challenging

Duties

• Payments/settlements delivery, you will lead a team to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines/SLAs are met and achieved
• Maintain knowledge across the team of regulations, products/services, internal processes, and procedural changes within the wider industry.
• Issue resolution and ensure that your team maintain a professional and courteous approach with clients.
• You will provide day to day management, guidance and support to the team and wider management team regarding client issues, queries, complaints, and investigations.
• Ensure that the team is effectively resourced to manage and meet internal and external deadlines and SLAs
• Ensure your team are adhering to FCA conduct rules that apply to their regulatory status
• Complete continued professional development and mandatory training within set timescales
• Effective oversight until delegated responsibilities and tasks are completed
