Classroom Recruiters, on behalf of a specialist child service provider with multiple hubs across the Nottingham area, presents a unique opportunity to be the beacon of hope for hard-to-reach children. Salary: £18,589 - £20,493 pro rata

Term Time Only: 13 weeks off for the school holidays (which is deducted from the salary)

Monthly salary (Take Home): On average monthly salary between £1,161 - £1,280

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm

Full Time or Part Time: You can work between 3 - 5 days a week

Contract: Term time only - Permanent contract ( after successful completion of your 3 month probation period)

Start Date: March (but flexible for the right person)

Our dedicated class teachers are working tirelessly to create fun and engaging lessons, and we're looking for someone exceptional to join our mission.

The Role:

As an Unqualified Behavior Mentor, you'll be working full-time during term time only, across Key Stage 3, 4, and post-16, unlocking the potential of children who may have found traditional teaching methods challenging. We're not looking for formal qualifications but real-world experience, especially in sports, residential, or a positive behaviour background. Your role is to be a guiding light, forging strong relationships with hard-to-reach children.

What You'll Do:

  • Work on a one-on-one basis or in small groups with the children.
  • Be the mentor and role model they need, helping them navigate the challenges they face.
  • Create an inspiring, supportive environment where they can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate:

This role is open to anyone with a passion for working with children and has transferable skills. We're not just looking for employees; we're seeking individuals with character and the energy to connect with our children. You should have a natural ability to spark engagement and take the time to truly get to know each child. While formal qualifications aren't required, experience working with children or young adults would be a bonus but we are open to people from a range of backgrounds as long as you have transferable skills. passionate about your role, and happy to be a positive influence.

After six months in this role, you can start a Teaching Assistant qualification program completely free. This role allows you to work closely with children, building strong bonds with them. You become an important part of their development, helping them overcome challenges, fostering personal growth, and serving as a positive influence.
