20 hours per week, with the opportunity to go full time
Temporary to Permanent (after 12 successful weeks)
Responsibilities:
- Upholster and sew various components of furniture
- Cut fabric and other materials according to specified dimensions and patterns
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an upholsterer or sewing operative in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other relevant tools and equipment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of different types of fabrics, materials, and upholstery techniques is desirable
