Job description

There is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic RGN to develop their career in the Urology Unit. We are seeking to appoint a motivated urology nurse with extensive clinical and leadership skills to be appointed to a band 7 Unit Manager.
The successful candidate will have proven urology nursing experience and need to demonstrate post registration education and leadership skills.
The department is a self-contained unit, with nurse led clinics, a day unit as well as outpatient clinics
The primary base will be the Royal Gwent Hospital.
The unit is currently open between Monday to Friday.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
We are looking for a nurse who has a passion and drive to provide and ensure high quality patient care, who is forward thinking and motivated to join this busy and expanding team.
As the Unit Manager you must have an passion for urology nursing. You should have excellent communication skills and work well in a multidisciplinary team. You will be accountable for team performance and the quality of the service delivered. You will act as a role model to the team, support staff through clinical leadership and guidance helping them to develop their own clinical skills.
