SalaryOpportunity for a CHP Utilities Operator to join an international sustainable manufacturing / heavy process engineering organisation in Kent. Fixed term contract until December 2024 with possibility of extension. 12 hour shifts, days and nights. Great salary and benefits.
The Utilities / CHP Operator will maintain all utilities equipment / systems independently under the general supervision of the utilities senior operator to enable efficient operation of the Production Machinery whilst ensuring all Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
Utilities Operator / CHP Operator Requirements:
- OND & GCSE level qualifications.
- Experience working as a Utilities Operator / CHP Operator.
- Follow and comply with company Health & Safety procedures, auditing practices, and maintain records.
- Ensure steady supply of water to the CHP demineralisation storage tanks.
- Ensure that good quality water is supplied to the boilers are within parameters.
- Ensure effective housekeeping practice in the CHP plant at all times.
- Write SOP and risk assessments for the water treatment plant with the supervision of the senior plant operator.
- Carry out routine sampling to support plant performance.
- Flexible to work on an on-call rota to support business needs.
- Ensure all daily checks for the plant are completed and any defect is escalated.
