We’re seeking a front-End Developer to create and translate user-friendly designs into crisp code and thoughtful experiences for our customers. This person will work alongside different departments to determine customer needs, brainstorm solutions, generate website mock-ups, learning programme prototypes and integrated solutions, present work to internal stakeholders, and develop, automate and optimise live platforms (such as websites, Learning Management Systems, etc). We’re looking for someone who is quick, technically strong, enjoys ideation and is not afraid to ask questions. An understanding of not just how to code but why certain code works is essential.

Job Description
- Working with multiple team members and stakeholders to gather initial business requirements, create user-friendly and accessible based wireframe solutions, prototypes and designs ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience and support the staging and release of webpages and learning content on our LMS
- Managing the daily operations, use and configuration of our websites and LMS:
- Creating engaging and interactive front-end interfaces to deliver multiple programmes/products to internal and external clients
- Testing new/existing programmes and interfaces
- Testing maintenance releases
- Second-line incident support and resolution
- Monitor automated processes to ensure they are functioning correctly and running on rails
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code
- Gathering feedback to iterate and enhance wireframes based on user insights
- Meeting web accessibility standards
- Ticket management:
- Act as a first point of contact for any queries relating to our websites/LMS, either resolving these in a timely manner or escalating them accordingly
- Internal Support - tracking and prioritising of internal support requests
- Working with colleagues to conduct, administer and automate reporting for learner engagement and proactively identify opportunities for further improvement
- Supporting with continuous improvement of systems processes, structures and functionality
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in UX/UI design, and advocate for their integration into our processes
- Using your expertise to identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements relating to our systems
- Managing the implementation of the internal road map and managing the support and resources available and where to go for additional information/investigation
- Become an internal ‘spreadsheet’ champion - actively seeking to improve functionality
- Lead and Support with troubleshooting and proactively seek enhancements that support the wider Notion team and a bug-free User experience
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and other design documentation to ensure consistency and quality across products
- Manage and keep up to date any process and How to guides
- Manage housekeeping and data cleansing
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders and external back-End Developers to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of websites/interfaces
- Create wireframes and mockups of site/system designs
- Use a variety of programming languages in order to create user-friendly and responsive web pages and interfaces (fluency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is essential)
- Strong understanding of Google Apps SCRIPTs and ability to troubleshoot and create new SCRIPTS as required
- Skills to create APIs as required - where they can improve integrations and proceses
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements
- Develop standard code that can serve as the foundation of future projects
- Perform tasks accurately to meet our brand guidelines and quality standards
- Optimise systems to improve performance and efficiency
- Author technical documentation
- Have a strong technical portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of abilities
- Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills with a proven track record of supporting a team under time pressure
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and communication skills
- You’ll enjoy and possess strong skills in problem-solving and be able to communicate solutions and information clearly and effectively
- Good knowledge of the Google suite, such as Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides (and their non-cloud equivalents)
- You’ll need to be flexible and able to juggle the changing priorities and needs of the wider Notion team, reprioritising your workload accordingly
- You’ll work as part of a collaborative team and will be confident presenting ideas and suggestions
- Ability to balance multiple projects and work streams simultaneously and work with an AGILE approach
Desirable Knowledge & Skills

- Client-facing experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of how to streamline and automate B2B and B2C processes
Remuneration Package
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Office Based)
- Salary: £36k-£40k
- Annual Leave 20 days paid holiday + 8 bank holidays per year
- An additional day’s holiday per year of service (up to 5 more days)
- An optional 5 days of unpaid leave per year

Pay: £36,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
