About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our Liverpool FC team as an Academy Driver. We are looking for an individual to transport Academy players between various locations for training, matches, school, medical appointments and tours/tournaments.  

What will you be doing?  

• Undertake driving tasks for the following groups:
  1. Trialists
  2. Academy Players (ranging from Primary School age to under 21s)
  3. Additional driving tasks as required by Academy players (and staff where applicable)
  4. Transporting kit/equipment for matches/tours

• Ensure complete legal compliance during all driving tasks
• Ensure passenger safety at all times during driving tasks
• Ensure that Academy vehicles are fully maintained meeting all legal requirements for transportation and usage 
• Ensure that Academy vehicles levels of cleanliness are maintained
• Ensure that all driving tasks are recorded and Club driving standards are adhered to
• Ensure a professional image of LFC is portrayed at all times whilst driving and representing the Club
• Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to and any incidents reported immediately in the correct manner

Who are we looking for? 

To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible. Due to the nature of the transport requirements, this role is on a 5 out of 7 days basis. 

You will need to have a Professional approach to working with colleagues and children with excellent communication skills and telephone manner. Display ability to quickly develop excellent working relationships and be enthusiastic and flexible approach to work. It is essential you have a clean driving licence and the ability to  travel for matches / tournaments which may involve overnight stays of up to 2 weeks

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Due to the nature of this role, you will occasionally be required to work weekends. Your main base will be our Academy Training Centre in Kirkby. You may be required to travel, sometimes at short notice depending on business demands.
