Job Introduction

Head of Logistics Network Planning | Permanent | Competitive |Based in Elton or Derrylin

As Head of Logistics Network Planning, you'll be a forward thinking, self-starter who works well under pressure with the ability to work collaboratively with all business areas. You will have the ability to quickly appreciate and capture in a model the operational capabilities with the Encirc internal and external production and Logistics Network.  You will be willing to challenge and be challenged, have strong influencing skills and be a good decision maker.

We are market leaders in glass container design, manufacturing, bottling, and logistics solutions for the UK and Irish food and beverages industries. We are currently enhancing the logistics function to support growth, meet changing customer requirements and support the business through a number of investment projects.

As Head of Logistics Network Planning, you will be a key member of the Logistics Leadership team, you will facilitate the development of an external warehouse network providing the storage volume requirements and potential locations of warehouses to deliver a robust supply network. You will plan the stock transfers and stock holding at the external warehouses to deliver a cost effective network to support the in house warehouse operations, ensuring stock is accurately rotated and available for delivery to customers.

The Key Requirements 

  • Degree level, preferably in Supply Chain, Planning or numerate subject
  • Significant experience in and detailed knowledge of the end-to-end Warehouse operations across multiple business units
  • Experience in Demand planning for businesses operating in different markets, with numerous production sites and independent warehousing facilities  
  • Experienced in planning for businesses that have unpredictable demand and significant seasonality
  • Experienced in designing, developing and delivering warehousing and transport strategies 
  • Commercial understanding of warehousing and transport operations
