2 x Post at 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the project team supporting data validation for the organisation. The role is fixed term (6 Months).
The role will be predominantly remote working, with the occasional requirement to work on site. You will be expected to meet key performance indicators and must have the ability to work autonomously to a high standard.
The post holdermusthave good keyboard skills, including excel and word. Knowledge of patient management systems and medical terminology is an advantage.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the information held on our electronic systems, at patient level, is accurately validated using various data sources, including clinical information, to clarify and validate data and update the Patient EPR (Electronic Patient Record) on Careflow where appropriate daily.
Working Flexibly off site with occasional attendance at Walsall Manor Hospital for face-to-face group training and meetings.

RESPECT - COMPASSION - TEAMWORK - PROFESSIONALISM
1. The postholder will work to achieve agreed objectives and will be required to act independently and under their own initiative within appropriate guidelines, deciding when it is necessary to refer to their manager.
2. Receive and provide sensitive information regarding activities on the patient pathway.
3. To validate the status of patients waiting for further treatment as recorded on the trust’s PTL removing duplicate referrals etc and highlighting inaccuracies within Careflow.
4. Assess when and where it is necessary to raise queries that require a higher level of validation.
5. Understand Microsoft Excel to a higher level to be able to interpret reports that are provided to determine the themes of patient data validations.
6. Plan, organise and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workload
7. Respond and update all enquiries sent to the Data Quality Validation mailbox.
8. Always maintain strict codes of confidentiality and security as the nature of the work involved handling and processing of sensitive personal data, and adhere to the Data Protection Act
9. Follow Policies and Procedures of the internal team for validations and Data Quality Standards and Policy, highlight, when necessary, any areas of development required.
10. Maintain a high level of physical skills daily to be able to continue validating accurately.
11. Use of VDU equipment for majority of the working day and able to regular assess own VDU requirements.
12. Work to tight deadlines and deliver agreed projects etc to the quality standard and timescales agreed.
