Salary Pertemps are currently recruiting for Van Drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.
Location: East of Edinburgh
Hours of Work: 4 days on 4 days off 06.00-17.02 with 45min breaks
Rate of Pay: £12.81 per hour rising to £14.35 as of week 13
Temporary ongoing work
Duties to Include:
- Driving the relevant vehicles
- Working as part of a team
- Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
- Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
- General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding)
Essential requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence
- 3 years+ driving experience preferably with vans
Successful candidates will:
- Be flexible
- Be reliable
- Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
- Be health and safety conscious
- Have good customer service skills
- Have previous driving experience
- Work outdoors in all weather
