Van Driver - East London

We’re looking for motivated people to deliver packages around London with the potential for quick career progression. We use a combination of e-cargo bikes and electric vans with zero impact on the environment.

Salary: £15.00 per hour with opportunities for bonus

Location

West London - North Acton

East London - Bethnal Green

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Packing, loading and unloading delivery vans
• Driving an electric van and deliver parcels to multiple residences and businesses.
• Maintaining regular communication with managers and associate managers
• Assisting at the warehouse and backdoor including sorting parcels.

Skills and qualifications

• You must have had your driving licence for at least 3 years.
• Excellent timekeeping skills
• Good communication skills
• Friendly and professional demeanor with a can do attitude
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Comfortable using an app on a mobile device to track and enable deliveries and routing
• Comfortable with reading and using maps
• Capable of lifting parcels of up to 25kg (for men) or 16kg (for women)

Schedule:

- Flexible hours available through the week

Experience:

• Commercial van driving experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Electric van driving experience: 6mo (preferred, but not essential)
• You must have had your driving license for at least 3 years.
• Multi-drop parcel delivery experience (1y preferred)

Work authorization:

Must have held a full UK license for at least 3 years.

- Must not have been convicted with more than 1 minor conviction within the last 3 years, from the date of conviction, of any of the following minor motoring offences; CU (except CU80) / LC / MW / PC / PL / SP / TS / MS (except MS50).

- Must not have been convicted within the last 4 years, from the date of conviction, of any of the following major motoring offences; AC / BA / CD / CU80 / IN / MR / MS50 / DR / XX / TT / UT / DD / DG.

- Must not have any prosecutions or police enquiries pending.

- Must not have had any accident, incident, fire or theft losses in the last 3 years.

- Must not have had any criminal convictions, unless they are no longer disclosable under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (ROA) as amended by the Legal Aid, Sentencing & Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (LASPO)

- UK Right to Work

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Temp to perm, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
