Due to their continued success and expansion they are looking for a Van Driver/ Warehouse Assistant to join the team at their Hemel Hempstead branch.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Van Driver/ Warehouse Assistant to join the team at the clients Hemel Hempstead branch. The role will involve an element of manual handling as well as using equipment to load and unload deliveries, interacting with customers to ensure they are satisfied and ensuring the warehouse is kept presented to a high standard. You will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is first class, as well as working in the warehouse. There is always plenty to do and a variety of jobs so it is important that the successful candidate can use their iniative and manage their time efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintaining the warehouse
- Taking deliveries from suppliers
- Preparing customers orders
- Stock management
- Delivering goods
- Working as part of a team
- Forklift truck driving (training will be provided)
- Daily upkeep of the warehouse
Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Electrical wholesalers experience is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A forklift qualification would be advantageous
- Good verbal communication skills
- Flexible
- Ability to take instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Be organised in prioritising workload effectively
- Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
- Maintain a good knowledge and Health & Safety policy and procedures at all times
Hours of Work
Week 1 Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:15
Week 2 - Monday to Friday 07:00 to 17:15 & Saturday 08:30 to 12:00
