A reputable manufacturing company is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Van Driver/Warehouse Operative. This full-time position promises a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours weekly Monday-Friday, operating from 6am to 2pm, allowing for a balanced work-life rhythm.
You will be based at their regional service centre in Manchester supporting the team with the warehouse duties and the delivery of products responsibilities will include:
- Prepare, pick and scanning customer orders within the warehouse ready for dispatch or collection
- Deliver products to their Installer’s lock ups, customer homes, building sites and retailers.
- Load, unload, prepare and inspect assigned vehicle daily using the driver de-brief and vehicle check sheet
- Cleaning and fuelling of assigned vehicle
- Safe handling of furniture in line with good Health & Safety manual handling practice
- Checking deliveries against paperwork and administration of paperwork
Candidates must possess a valid driving licence minimum class B along with a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role. Demonstrate a track record of reliability and attention to detail. The ideal applicant will have good geographical knowledge, excellent time management skills, and the physical capability to handle goods with care. Training on company policies and procedures will be given.
In addition to the practical requirements, the role demands a proactive mindset, with the ability to problem-solve on the go and communicate effectively with both team members and customers. A commitment to upholding health and safety standards is paramount.
This position is temporary to permanent offering a salary of £23,185
