Job description

About the role:
Please note we don't have a fixed closing date but instead will close the role when we have sufficient applicants to interview so apply soon to not miss out!
Since 2014 we have been delivering a Foundation Degree in Social Care Studies in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University. This programme was developed specifically to widen participation into Social Work as a career allowing applicants to join an alternative progression route to a traditional social work degree. This foundation degree has a corresponding pathway of the BA (Hons) Social Work Studies that is a 1 year programme at level 6 that is recognised by Social Work England as a route leading towards registration as a social worker. Students that successfully complete all 3 years can apply for professional registration upon graduation. The programme has developed a strong reputation for high quality training and has continued to grow in popularity.
The post holder will be occupationally competent in the health and Social Care industry, ideally with a social work background. You will have a good understanding of legislation, policy, multi-agency teams and theory related to working with service users. You will have a working knowledge of industry progression routes. The post holder will deliver modules related to these fields of expertise and work with students to relate theory to their industry practice. The candidate should also have knowledge of issues relating to equal opportunities, cultural diversity, knowledge of commitment to Safeguarding Children and vulnerable adult legislation and relevant teaching qualifications.
