Job description

For over 110 years Aston Martin has made the most exquisitely addictive performance sports cars.

But no one builds an Aston Martin on their own. Behind these legends and landmarks are hundreds of dreamers, darers and doers who make extraordinary happen, every single day. That’s why the name of everyone who has ever worn our famous wings is inscribed on the wall of our factory.

As we embark on an exciting new era for the business, we need the very best people to write their own chapter on our journey to become the world’s most desirable ultra-luxury British performance brand.

Join us.

We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Certification Manager to join our growing team at Aston Martin. Reporting into the Head of Certification and Legislation you will be responsible for all automotive compliance worldwide, covering our full product range. As Manager you’ll lead a team of 5 Project Engineers; managing workloads, providing development opportunities and undertaking all tasks related to managing people. You’ll work autonomously to decide on resource for each Certification Project considering test planning, workload and, if required, putting out Request for Quotes for outsourced supportIn this complex role you will be responsible for managing over 100 regulated systems, from maintaining through to creating and submitting documentation as required. You’ll also liaise significantly with Government Approval Body’s, delivering presentations on AML Certification project requirements.

This role would suit an experienced certification, legislation and homologation professional with solid experience of managing others. People are the focus of who we are at Aston Martin, so you should be able to demonstrate positive management of both internal and external teams, ideally having set these up from scratch. This role requires a robust knowledge of project management, so you’ll be a strategic, project focused individual with the ability to work with others to get tasks over the line. As this role involves heavy liaison with government and other authority bodies you should have demonstrable knowledge of these and how we work with them.

We understand that the incredible beauty, craft and art that defines an Aston Martin comes from the inclusion of our amazing people.

We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of your education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, colour, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs. We celebrate diversity and are seeking applicants who can bring something different. Please speak to us if there is anything you need to support making an application with us.
