The role
As a Vehicle Fitter, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. We will train you up to be an experienced Fitter, you can expect to learn something new each day; until you become skilled in all aspects of the Vehicle Fitter role.
Day to day, you'll be part of a highly skilled team supporting customers including the police, fire, and ambulance service.
- Fit out vehicles in preparation for them being armoured
- Remove and fit seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear light clusters, bumpers
- Remove and refit automotive parts and components
- Completing minor mechanical tasks; changing brake fluid
- Replacing mechanical components; suspension / brakes
This role is full time working 40- hours per week Monday to Friday and will be based at Walsall on site.
Essential experience of the Vehicle Fitter:
The following is the preferred experience however, we are open to applicants from different industries.
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively under own initiative, or as part of a team to achieve desired results
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Qualifications for the Vehicle Fitter:
- NVQ level 2 (or proven automotive experience)
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
