Vehicle Mechanic/Mot Tester

Daniel Owen are pleased to be working with a large key player within the south for all things vehicle servicing, based in Caterham, Surrey we are looking for fully qualified Vehicle Mechanics with a valid MOT Testing certificate to join a team of experienced and motivated technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inspection and Diagnostics:

  Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other issues.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to pinpoint problems accurately.

• Repair and Maintenance:

  Perform a wide range of mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle makes and models.
• Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard and in compliance with industry regulations.

• MOT Testing:

  Conduct MOT tests in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Identify and rectify any defects found during the testing process.

• Documentation and Record Keeping:

  Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and tests performed.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each job in a timely manner.

• Customer Interaction:

  Communicate effectively with customers to explain findings, recommendations, and estimated costs.
• Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or questions professionally.

• Quality Assurance:

  Uphold high-quality standards in all aspects of work to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanic/MOT Tester.
• NVQ Level 3 Preferred but not pivotal
• Relevant certifications and qualifications for MOT testing.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Effective communication skills with both team members and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
