Our client a family run Crash Repair Centre are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Car Prepper to join their Automotive Paint team Plumstead in South East London. As a Car Prepper, you will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting, ensuring they meet high-quality standards. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic, and a love for automobiles, our client wants to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Surfaces: Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate coatings to achieve a smooth and even finish.
- Masking and Taping: Skillfully mask and tape areas that should not be painted to protect them from overspray.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of prepared surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the painting team to ensure seamless coordination in the preparation and painting processes.
- Adherence to Safety Guidelines: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Proven experience as a Car Prepper or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to use relevant tools and equipment for preparation tasks.
- Knowledge of different coating materials and application techniques.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Competitive hourly rate (£15 - £16 per hour).
