Vehicle Technician

Soper of Lincoln is recruiting a Vehicle Technician to work at our BMW and MINI Centre in Lincoln.
Your role
Working on the electrical and mechanical systems for our range of vehicles. With our state-of-the-art latest BMW diagnostic technology at your fingertips, you'll inspect vehicle components for wear and tear, carry out technical maintenance, Service, repairs or replace parts.
Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to understand customer requirements, follow manufacturer repair instructions, test and diagnose issues with cars as reported by the customer.
• Undertake appropriate servicing/repairs to correctly diagnose faults to ensure first time fix and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that all vehicles are inspected and comply with legal/manufacturer safety standards; faults diagnosed, with related digital documentation completed correctly efficiently.
• Advise the Service Advisor of any additional works necessary and ensure all repairs undertaken have been agreed with the customer.
• Ability to carry out video walk round of the cars relaying information and condition of car to the customer in a concise and professional manner.
• Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly examined in relation to customer safety and all work undertaken complies with MOT and manufacturer safety standards.

Your profile

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment to an excellent standard.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Desirable, Qualified MOT Tester

Other information and salaries:
£30,000 per annum (plus bonus scheme) Level 3 qualified Technician.
£32,000 per Annum (plus bonus Scheme) BMW Certified Technician.
£34,000 Per Annum (plus bonus scheme) BMW Senior Certified Technician.
Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30
Saturday's 08:30 - 13:00 (on rota one in three).
