Position:Vehicle Technician
Location: Southend, Essex
Salary: £31,500 for 45 hours, Monday – Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays paid as overtime at 1.5x and a realistic OTE of £40,000.

Our client, a respected car dealership group and brand, is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician to join to their accomplished team.

Role Summary:
As a Vehicle Technician within the dealership, you will undertake a wide array of technical responsibilities, ranging from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and repairs. Your keen attention to detail and versatility in handling various tasks will be pivotal to success in this dynamic role.
Reporting directly to the Aftersales Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
Technical Expertise: Perform various levels of technical work, including general servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and more, ensuring precision and efficiency in every task.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment, maintaining high standards of workmanship and embracing diverse job requirements.
Collaborative Approach: Excel as a team player, demonstrating an open-minded and friendly disposition while harbouring long-term ambitions to grow within the organisation.

Required Skills & Experience
To be considered for the position you will need to possess a relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3), although we will consider applicants with NVQ level 2 also.
We are looking for individuals who possess the following attributes & skills:
- A full UK driving licence
- Experience of inspection, repair and servicing motor vehicles
- MOT Tester qualification would be highly beneficial
- Good verbal and written skills
- Previous experience working in a franchised dealership (preferred but not essential)
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide technical and diagnostic service ensuring customer satisfaction and productivity targets are met and exceeded
- Maintain the highest level of technical knowledge and ensure compliance with manufacturer training
- Uphold company and manufacturer quality standards
- Ensure 100% compliance with vehicle health check processes
