SalaryWe have a fantastic opportunity within our Engineering team, to join us asVehicle Technician in Aston.
As a Vehicle Technician you will inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain all mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe vehicles are available to meet scheduled demand.
You will carry out maintenance activities within your capability [with training provided]. This will include not only rectifying known defects, but also investigating vehicle systems to ensure that the vehicles are operating at optimal efficiency.
This role requires a flexible approach to hours of work, working any 5 days from 7
What you'll do …
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance/ inspections, identifying defects and diagnose faults using diagnostic and test equipment. Including preparing vehicles for annual tests
- Diagnose and repair defects identified during vehicle inspection or in-service, completing all necessary documentation/systems in line with Company procedures ensuring accurate maintenance records are maintained
- Carry out all repairs necessary (including rudimentary body repairs) in order to maximise vehicle availability
- Carry out all work to a high standard of quality ensuring that the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles remains a priority at all times
- Liaise with the Stores to ensure spare parts availability as required
What you'll need...
- Manual Car Licence
- Proven experience working in vehicle maintenance
- Irtec Training [Ideal but not essential]
- NVQ Level 2 light vehicle [Ideal but not essential]
