Vehicle Test Technician Electrical

Do you have Test Technician experience, and are you seeking a new job in Cranfield? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Vehicle Test Technician (Electrical) for a 12-month contract, and the role comes with an umbrella rate of £18.01 per hour (PAYE, Inside IR35).

As a Vehicle Test Technician, you will test and validate the functions, operation and reliability of the vehicle and parts. You will also support testing in static and dynamic conditions to gather accurate, timely, and quality test data/results. Please note, we cannot progress candidates who require sponsorship to work in the UK.

In your first few weeks in this Vehicle Test Technician role, you can expect to:

• Prepare and build vehicles or components for tests in line with local procedures and Engineering Manuals
• Support evaluation and concern identification including liaison with the Test Engineer
• Support delivery of Key Performance Indicators for the section
• Use skills to provide support to other sections as required.

To apply, you will need to be fully proficient in the fundamental practical mechanical and electrical skills required for this role, preferably automotive. You will also require the following:

• C&G/BTEC L3 would be preferable, ideally in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
• The ability to work safely and to comply with legal and company safety policies
• Excel Word and PowerPoint skills.
