Expleo are recruiting for an V&VIntegration Engineerworking in harmony of our well known and prestige client based in the West Midlands on a permanent basis. The idealcandidatewill have experience in Electrical / Electronics test, with coverage in place to support each integration software pack release at whole vehicle level validation.
Responsibilities of the Integration Engineer -
- The creation and refining of test plans for Vehicle Systems Integration.
- Working with central test and development teams to build up functional test plans per Domain.
- Ensure software quality reflects tests and acceptance criteria are executed to correct procedures & operating conditions, accurately and produce high-quality data.
- Establish, maintain and communicate accurate planning and delivery with adequate testing, that identify the timing and specific requirements of test facilities required.
- Understanding the critical dependencies within the vehicle and test cases, ensuring we cover integrated testing between components, systems and features.
- Creation of trends analysis to defined metrics supporting maturity sign off.
- Interrogate test plans within Integration Plans, consume test cases to further refine the squads functional test plans and identify gaps / closure plans.
Issues
- Determine the level of urgency required during the first stages of investigations for an issue
- Acting as the Domain filter for all feedback coming into the department that is not directly fed into Jira.
- Ensuring accuracy of data captured to ensure the quality of level 1 triage JIRA tickets when raised.
- Working with MLAP / ITP / VIL / Vital and Labcar teams, ensuring all integration and external vehicle-based test tickets are captured within our own process and fed through to Level 1 JIRA.
- Working with the programme teams to capture the correct level of data from issues reported through WCPA and VET assessments ensuring accuracy of JIRA tickets and target fix/planned dates
- Monitor Trends (time to progress / DV effectiveness)
- Coach Teams in Best Practice (user mistakes / unnecessary steps / quality of raised defects)
- Feedback delivery plan to the required forums when requested
- Supporting MDI reviews and discussions.
Requirements of the Integration Engineer -
Essential:
- Strong technical background with proven knowledge of electrical & software engineering
- Knowledge of components and software systems including architectures and integrated software solutions
- Understanding of design principles and the application of quality tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels within the business
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Able to prioritise workload and lead issue resolution (with support) either individually or as part of a cross-functional team
- Knowledge of problem-solving, and quality tools are essential - Highly self-motivated and able to act on initiative
