VESSEL MANAGER
FULL-TIME PERMANENT – based in Aberdeen or Dundee
Fletcher is a vessel owner and manager of platform supply vessels, most of which work in the North Sea. Our business is in the process of expanding, and with the prospect of even further growth, we are looking to bring in 1 additional Vessel Manager to provide support to our vessels with their technical issues, offering advice and, where needed, practical assistance.
Fletcher has a long-held reputation for delivering reliable and safe operations to a high-quality standard, enabling us to develop long-standing relationships with our customers within the global energy sector. The company operates a highly successful self-managed system of operating PSVs and vessels in the industry. This system, introduced over 20 years ago, has been refined since that time by the Senior Managers and enables our vessels to directly arrange spares and services.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in technical superintendency and varied vessel knowledge who will join this team, bringing a passion for technical operations and an ability to work as part of a small team. Fletcher prides itself on being a company where decisions can be taken quickly, there are minimal levels of hierarchy and Directors are always available for advice and support.
The position will be based in either Dundee or Aberdeen, the Technical Department itself is based in Dundee. The Team works a rota, where the Duty Person would cover weekends and evenings, and work in the Aberdeen office for 1 week at a time.
Essential Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word and Excel Experience in a similar position Must be resident within daily driving distance of Aberdeen or Dundee Preferred:
Experience in planning drydocks Specialism in DP systems or other electrical systems Personal Characteristics:
