A reputable small animal veterinary hospital in Barnet, London, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join their close-knit team. Position: Veterinary Nurse

Salary: Up to 32,000 per annum (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
The Veterinary Nurse will play a pivotal role in supporting the veterinarians to deliver exceptional care to the patients. Responsibilities for the role include:
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs of animals under anesthesia and during recovery.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Handling and restraining animals with care and compassion.
- Conducting diagnostic tests and laboratory work as required.
- Preparing and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
- Educating pet owners on post-operative care and general pet health.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse with appropriate certifications (RVN or equivalent). While experience in a small animal veterinary setting is preferred, enthusiastic new graduates and student nurses will also be considered. Strong animal handling skills and a demonstrated passion for animal welfare are essential. Additionally, effective communication and organizational skills are necessary for working well in a team environment and with pet owners.
