Job Description

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join their team.

About Their Practice:

They are an established practice that celebrated its 20th year in 2020. They are a friendly, small animal first opinion practice, and their team consists of 4 veterinary surgeons with varying levels of experience who are supported by seven Veterinary Nurses, two student Veterinary Nurses, two veterinary care assistants, seven receptionists, and their practice manager.

Their practice is built to industry-leading standards and includes standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, an isolation room, and an onsite operating theatre.

About you:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of practice experience
• Have excellent customer care, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
• Be computer literate
• Be able to work under pressure, solve problems, and work independently
• Be self-motivated and hardworking

The Role:

Admissions and discharges, monitoring operations, inpatient care, delivering clinics (on weight, dental care, puppy and kitten care, and diabetes), consulting, measuring blood pressure, blood sampling, supporting vets, pharmacy work, and clinical coach training will be provided to support regular student placements.

Hours: 

• The position is based on an average 40-hour week with a 1 in 4 weekend shift pattern. Typical working hours will be:
• Monday – Friday: shifts between 08:00 – 19:30
• Saturdays: 08:00 – 18:00
• Sundays: 10:00 – 16:00 (closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future)
