Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team here at Campsie Vet Centre in Omagh!

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week on average, covering Monday-Friday with a 1:3 share in the Saturday morning clinic rota.

As a Receptionist, you will provide a friendly and efficient service to our clients and their animals. You will need to be able to work well within a team as well as working individually, however, support from your peers is always on hand. We are a professional and personable team working in a very challenging and busy environment, which makes the role varied, and interesting and where no day is ever the same!

You will need to have the ability to remain calm under pressure and also show empathy towards everything that is thrown at you, from sharing the excitement of a puppy's first visit to the vet or comforting a client who has received some bad news regarding their pet.

Day-to-day duties of the role will include answering phones, responding to emails, booking appointments, registering new clients, completing insurance forms, dispensing medications, taking payments and providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving to the clinic.

Previous Receptionist or customer-facing experience is essential. Previous veterinary industry experience would also be highly beneficial. Most importantly, we are looking for a team player who is flexible and adaptable - as there are so many aspects to the role, we need someone who is quick-thinking and willing to learn!

The salary for this position will be in line with the National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.

As one of our Receptionists, you will have access to our Client Care Hub. This is a dedicated space on our Knowledge Hub for all client care resources. You will be invited to join a support session within your first few weeks of being in the business, where you will meet a Learning Partner and begin your training journey. You can then join further sessions at any point over the following six months to ask any questions you may have regarding your training. This training is alongside the training you will receive in practice.

We know that benefits are key and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Or, if easier, you can find a list on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
