Hours: 4-day week (40 hours), 1 in 4 Saturdays, no OOH
Alder Veterinary Practice are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our amazing team!
Our ideal candidate will be confident in both general surgery and medicine but you’ll have support from us and the wider Linnaeus team, if needed. The most important thing is that you’re friendly, empathetic and have excellent communication skills.
Following a £1.4m investment in 2021, we now have a state-of-the-art practice and equipment (take a look!) including separate dog, cat and exotics wards; dental suite (with dental x-ray); a cat-only consult room; endoscopy and so much more
We strongly believe in investing in our staff, too. Career progression and CPD (including certificates) is encouraged and funded for all staff.
If there is an area or discipline, you’d like to explore, we’re keen to develop this. We currently have a small exotic caseload, with the capacity to grow this further, if desired.

Alder Veterinary Practice is the flagship primary care practice for Linnaeus.
Following a £1.4m investment, we now have a cutting-edge practice to help us to achieve our goal to provide an exceptional service to every patient, every visit.
Our team have a wide range of interests including feline and internal medicine, advanced analgesia, teaching, surgery, behaviour, and ophthalmology and more.
We also have a regular peripatetic orthopaedic vet and visiting cardiologist.
Alongside this, we are proud to be an accredited silver-level (now aiming for gold!) Cat-Friendly Clinic and members of the ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine) and are working towards an Investors in the Environment (iiE) accreditation.
We actively work to foster a kind, caring team spirit with regular social meetups and getting involved in events to support the local community.
