Key Accountabilities

  • Provide high-quality veterinary care, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, in accordance with Medivet’s standards and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication about treatment plans, prognosis, and follow-up care. Foster a compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • Work collaboratively with other veterinary professionals and support staff, contributing to a positive and cohesive team environment. Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in veterinary medicine through continuous learning, attending relevant training, and participating in Medivet’s ongoing professional development programs.

Skills and Experience

  • RCVS Registration: Successful completion of the RCVS registration exam is necessary to practice as a Veterinary Surgeon in the UK.
  • Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and diagnosing medical conditions in animals.
  • Surgical Proficiency: Competence in performing a range of surgeries, from routine procedures to more complex interventions
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and solve complex medical cases, as well as handle emergencies.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Displaying empathy and compassion toward animals and their owners, especially in sensitive or emotional situations.
  • Client Communication: Effective communication with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and provide guidance on pet care.
