Form of workThe practice is based in the Old Swan area of Liverpool just 5 mins from the M62 and 10 minutes East of Liverpool City Centre. This location makes it ideal for Vets travelling from the Wirral, other towns, or local areas.
Due to the team environment since the practice opened over 14 years ago, the surgery has built up a fantastic reputation within the local area and we now hold a large client and patient database along with an interesting caseload of small animals and in house referrals on a regular basis.
The practice is a standalone surgery that has been built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including X-Ray, ultrasound, dental X-Ray, full in-house bloods with electrolytes, ECG, infusion pumps. We also carry out In-house orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, so if you have an interest in this or would like to explore this area of veterinary more then we can offer this.
We are looking for a part time vet to work around 35 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Veterinary Surgeon with solid medical and surgical skills, with experience of practising in the UK. You should be confident with all routine surgeries and really be able to hit the ground running to support less experienced team members.
Weekends are sole charge so you will need to feel comfortable with this. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You should enjoy working within a team and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
