Veterinary Surgeon

Our Straiton practice, situated inside our Pets at Home Store in Edinburgh, are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time (40 hours/week) or part time basis.
Straiton Vets4Pets is located in Straiton Retail Park in Loanhead, which is under 30 minutes from Edinburgh City Centre, the Coast and Edinburgh Airport. If you love the outdoors, the practice to the Pentland Hills Regional Park, which is great for exploring on your days off.
The successful applicant will join a busy & friendly team of 2 Vets, 3 RVN’s, 1 SVN, 3 Client Care Advisers and a very supportive Practice Manager. Our bright and spacious surgery has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, in-house laboratory, separate kennels, and isolation wards. In addition, we have also invested in multiparameter monitoring and are in the process of investing in our diagnostic imaging services through upgrades of our ultrasound and x-ray unit.
To be a good fit for this role, you must have a solid grounding in first opinion medicine and surgery and want to work in a fun, yet busy clinical environment. We are looking for a vet who is comfortable working sole charge when necessary. You will need to be available to work between the hours of 8:30am and 7pm Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 3 weekend rota. There is no OOH with this role.
