SalaryWe have an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Theatre team as a full-time Theatre Assistant.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art theatres, working alongside renowned specialists in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue, Anaesthesia, Cardiology and Neurology.
The successful candidate will work in several different roles within the theatre team; sterilising surgical instrumentation, infection control within the theatres, assisting with surgical preparation on cases and circulating with surgical cases.
The successful candidate will have a responsibility to maintain a high standard of hygiene within the surgical areas and ensure that stock control is maintained.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high standard of care, a desire to learn and a capability to work under pressure. Previous experience in a veterinary environment is desirable but not essential.
The role available is for 39.38 hours per week on average over a 4-week period, Monday-Friday, and 1:4 weekends + Bank holidays.
Flexibility will be required.
