Post: Vetting Researcher
Salary: Scale 4 - £24,921 - £27,351

We are seeking a Vetting Researcher to join our small but busy team based in Hartlepool. You will be right for this role if you are experienced in working within a fast paced environment, meeting deadlines and prioritising work. You will be responsible for assessing vetting applications so candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a methodical approach, and awareness of risk.
This role gives the post holder opportunity to carry out an integral role, ensuring that police systems are interrogated in line with nationally agreed vetting processes.
This is a rewarding role where your skills in terms of customer service, research and IT will be used on a daily basis. There will be times when there are conflicting deadlines and we are looking for candidates who can work on their own initiative to provide an excellent service, managing their own time to deliver on target dates for vetting.
This role will involve handing sensitive information so it is essential that the post holder can demonstrate a high level of confidentiality. There may also be times when you will be exposed to information of an emotionally distressing nature.
