Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Contract: Permanent, full-time. Start: 21st August 2024. Starting Salary: up to £88,000 (Range from £84,000 to £88,000) depending upon the applicant’s skills and experience. Relocation: A relocation allowance, which is usually tax free under Inland Revenue regulations, may be available where the employee’s new home is reasonably close to the workplace and their former home is not. Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme This is a vital appointment for our inclusive, influential, award-winning, Ofsted ‘Good’ Sixth Form. Reporting directly to the Principal, the role will be to lead The Sixth Form Bolton’s curriculum provision and to assume strategic leadership of the quality cycle and the student experience as we move into the final phase of our journey towards ‘Outstanding’. We want to appoint a leader who understands all elements of an outstanding, inclusive, and responsive curriculum, and can assure quality throughout our processes and procedures.  The ideal candidate will have a collegiate style, with presence, gravitas, and integrity, and be committed to The Sixth Form Bolton’s ethos of excellence and consistency in all outcomes for our students. Located in our modern, single-site campus in Bolton’s bustling town centre, and within travelling distance from Manchester, Bury, Tameside, Rochdale, Stockport, and the towns of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire, South Yorkshire, and North-West Derbyshire. Connected to the heart of the North West through the motorway network (M62, M60, M61, M67, and M56), we are the only specialist Sixth Form in the town and the largest provider of A Level studies in the borough, with a higher-than-average progression to Higher Education. Producing outstanding outcomes in many subject areas, demand for places in The Sixth Form has increased over the years and the College is now oversubscribed in many academic areas.
