Greater London Authority, one of our largest public sector clients based in London are looking to recruit a Video Editor to join their team on a 3-month contract with possibilities of further extensions if all goes well. The role is full time, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week – the role can be done fully remote, or hybrid and the office is based 5 minutes’ walk from London Bridge Station.
Pay rate: £26.52 per week PAYE or £33.81 per hour Umbrella.
Purpose of the role:
The role will primarily support the Senior Press Officer with editing videos and producing content for social media such as X (Twitter) and Facebook. All the content support will be for assembly members at GLA.
Key responsibilities:
- To support and contribute to the Conservative Group’s media and communications work, including assisting the Senior Press Officer and Digital Communications Officer as required.
- To produce timely and well-written media releases, media statements, newsletters, and articles on behalf of Assembly Members, with the support of the Senior Press Officer
- To contribute to the team’s digital media work, with the support of the Digital Communications Officer, and produce outputs when required, including material for online campaigns and social media activity.
- To use political awareness and good communication skills to undertake a range of media and communications activities.
- To manage resources allocated to the job in accordance with the Authority’s policies and code of Ethics and Standards.
- To realise the benefits of London’s diversity by promoting and enabling equality of opportunities and promoting the diverse needs and aspirations of London’s communities.
