We are seeking a Video Streaming Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on Video Streaming Technology for Live & VOD content. This role is crucial for implementing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure as code for streaming video backend and components. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in modern programming languages and cloud-based Video Streaming platforms.
Day to day of the role:- Implement, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code for streaming video backend and components.
- Monitor, log, and alert systems to proactively identify and address performance issues.
- Ensure uninterrupted video delivery by providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise.
- Resolve video-related issues and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Video Streaming quality and infrastructure.
- Solid programming skills in modern languages such as Go, Python, and familiarity with specific streaming and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
- Proven experience in Video Streaming platforms, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
- Knowledge of streaming protocols like HLS, MPEG-DASH.
- Understanding of CDNs, caching mechanisms, and edge caching strategies.
- Experience with Edge compute.
- Knowledge of DRM systems and content protection mechanisms.
- Experience with ABR streaming and dynamic packaging technologies.
