Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a global market leading client to recruit a Virtualisation Engineer with experience of supporting and developing global platforms.
The Role
As a Virtualisation Engineer you will design, install, upgrade and maintain multiple virtual platforms. By utilising the latest technologies and best practices, you will be responsible for providing virtualised desktops and applications to users around the world.
Please note this role offers hybrid working with 3 days working from home.
The Responsibilities
- Install, manage and monitor highly available Citrix infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and work through to resolution.
- Write scripts to enable process automation and accelerate common tasks.
- Manage Group Policy and personalisation.
- Work with key stakeholders within the business to understand requirements, delivering these in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain up to date documentation and share knowledge with other team members.
The Requirements
- Experience using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- Knowledge of XenServer, VMware, Active Directory and Group Policy and Powershell.
- Experience using Application Packaging technologies such as AppV or Numecent Cloudpaging.
- Familiar with AppSense, Ivanti and FSLogix.
- Experience using Cloud technologies such as Azure, AVD and GCP.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Citrix Director, Splunk or Systrack.
- Citrix CCA or CCP qualifications are desirable.
