Visiting Officer

Reed have partnered with a national business, recruiting for a Visiting Officer to cover their North Somerset area on a part time, permanent basis.

This role is offering 19 hours per week, where you’ll be on the road visiting commercial properties across the North Somerset area.

You will work remotely and manage a portfolio of commercial buildings; you will visit each property using your own vehicle ensure they are visited once every 3 months. These properties are listed as ‘empty’, so your aim is to check this is still the case, and if they’re now being occupied, update our records to ensure National non-domestic rates are correct.

You will work independently from your home; the business will provide you with a laptop, work telephone and safeguarding. You do have access to a local office in Clevedon if you ever require popping in to complete any admin duties.

Any mileage the moment you leave your home will be fully expensed at 45p per mile.

Salary: £21,855-£25,710 depending on experience. This is the full time equivalent, so would be pro rata’d
Working hours: 19 hours per week - Very flexible to start and finish between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Roles and responsibilities:
Conduct NNDR inspection visits and advice relating to all manner of discounts and exemptions.
Support members of the public in completing applicationschanges in relation to NNDR.
Gather and verify evidence in conjunction with assessments.
Hand deliver notification of recovery intentionoutcomes to members of the businesses.
Produce and deliver completion notices.
Produce reports relating to the visits.
Provide basic revenues processing duties.
Assist in the preparation and processing of relief reviews.

Requirements:
Full driving license and vehicle
Confident and independent to work alone
Confident to plan routes for all visits within the North Somerset area
